CONVERSATION BRIEF MAKER

Make a replyable request in three minutes.

Separate the context, verified facts, your current thinking and the decision you need. The tool turns them into a chat version and an email version.

Everything is processed in this browser. Nothing is sent elsewhere. Only drafts you explicitly save stay in this browser. Follow your workplace rules for confidential material.

INPUT

Separate the material

Rough notes are fine. Empty fields are left out of the output.

OUTPUT

Make it easy to answer

Your short request will appear here as you type.

Before you send

  • The person knows exactly what you need from them
  • Facts and your interpretation are separate
  • A timing request is included when one is needed

The shape of a question that gets answered

Messages that never get a reply usually share the same faults: what you actually want is unclear until the last line, facts and guesses are mixed together, and there is no deadline. This tool makes you separate those three from the start, so the reader can answer with a single word — yes, no, or option A.

That is why the input is split into Context, Verified facts, Your thinking / open questions, What you need answered or decided, and Requested timing. The writing does not have to be polished. Fragments and bullet points are fine; the tool keeps your wording and places each field in order. It does not summarize or fact-check what you write.

Example input

This is a fictional example. Imagine writing on Tuesday about a draft you prepared on Monday.

Subject: Diagram in Friday's handout Context: I plan to distribute the handout on Friday. Verified facts: I prepared a three-page draft on Monday. Your thinking / open questions: I am unsure whether to keep the diagram on page 2. What you need answered or decided: Please decide whether to keep or remove the diagram on page 2. Requested timing: By noon on Thursday

Example output (chat version)

[Review] Diagram in Friday's handout Context: I plan to distribute the handout on Friday. Verified facts: I prepared a three-page draft on Monday. My thinking / open questions: I am unsure whether to keep the diagram on page 2. What I need answered or decided: Please decide whether to keep or remove the diagram on page 2. Requested timing: By noon on Thursday Could you please review this and let me know your decision?

In this example, the reader can answer "keep the diagram" or "remove it." The email version adds a subject line, a standard greeting and closing to the same content. It does not add a recipient's name or your signature. Add those and adjust the tone after copying the text into your email.

Three checks before sending

  1. Is the ask stated in one sentence? "Please review" leaves the reader to guess what to review.
  2. Are facts and opinions separated? "It should be fine" is an opinion; "tests passed" is a fact. Mixing them forces the reader to re-verify everything.
  3. If a deadline matters, is it written? A request with no date goes to the bottom of the pile.

The checklist under the output box checks whether the request field has at least four characters, both the facts and thinking fields contain text, and the timing field contains text. It does not assess meaning or verify facts, so you still need to review the message yourself.

Your data

Input and output are processed entirely in this browser. Nothing is sent to a server. Only drafts you explicitly save are kept, in this browser only, up to 20 (they will not appear on another device). For confidential material, follow your workplace rules.

FAQ

Does an AI write the text? No. The tool places your input in a fixed order and adds labels and standard greetings. It does not use a generative model, summarize your writing or add new facts.

Is it only for messages to a manager? Any message that asks someone to decide something benefits from the same shape — a client, a family member, a clinic, a government office.

Why are empty fields dropped? A line reading "Background: none" only costs the reader time. Only the fields you filled in appear in the output.
